Made a reservation - glad I did since walkins had a significant wait of being turned away - very busy restaurant! Could see that this is a good restaurant for groups. Seated at exact time of reservation- service was helpful and friendly. Food was well prepared and lots of variety on the menu. One disappointment is that 5 of approximately 20 muscles were closed (don't eat those!)

If you're a restauranteur like my wife and I, then you know there are actually very few restaurants in Tahoe that hit the mark. For tourists who want their fair share of the fried/American diet, there are plenty of places in Tahoe ... but there are so little that serve high quality, artistically crafted cuisine. That is surely Izabella. We're so glad to have stumbled upon this wonderful gem. Service was awesome and we really enjoyed our date night. Parking was easy as well.

We were craving for some pastas and saw this local gem near the Heavenly Village so decided to give it a try. Wow, this place is now my fav Italian restaurant in Tahoe! Their mushroom raviolis (dinner specials) was really delicious, creamy and just perfect. You can choose the appetizer portion (comes in 3 mushroom raviolis) or the dinner portion (comes in 6 mushroom raviolis. Their linguini & clams pasta was pretty epic and they were very generous with the # of clams in that pasta. The baby kale salad was just ok, and a bit too much cheese flakes for me. Their lasagna was really thick and hearty. A great dish to put you in sleep coma afterwards. Overall, this was a great find and we will definitely come back to Izabella soon. Oh Izabella, you are the best!!

I recently dined at Izabella and had a mixed experience overall, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Some dishes stood out as excellent, while others fell short of expectations. The lasagna was fantastic and wanting more. The meat inside was perfectly cooked and flavorful, making it one of the highlights of the meal. Similarly, the dinner special mushroom ravioli was superb, with a creamy sauce that elevated the dish. The flavors were rich and satisfying. On the other hand, I was disappointed with the scallop and shrimp risotto. The scallops were overcooked and tough, while the risotto itself had a sour taste and a hard texture. It didn't meet the standard of the other dishes. The house salad was refreshing, with sliced fruits adding a pleasant sweetness. The light dressing tied everything together nicely, making it a great starter. The carbonara was another winner, with its cheesy, indulgent flavor that hit all the right notes. While the food was mostly enjoyable, the dining experience itself could have been better. We were seated at a smaller table for our party of four, which made it challenging to fit all the dishes. We mentioned that we would love a booth because we will be sampling most of the menu, but was ignored. The staff had a hard time managing the plates and ended up stacking some on top of each other, which felt a bit chaotic. I think a booth or a larger table would have made things much more comfortable. Izabella has some truly delicious offerings, but a few adjustments in both the food and service could make the experience even better.

Such a nice experience with exceptional food and service. Ilan at its best~ 3 of us enjoyed our Christmas celebration with style. Thank you. We ordered a lot but left with left overs for tomorrow - lots of thought went into this menu!

Service was fantastic. We were seated immediately and ordered minestrone soup, ravioli special, chicken parm and a children's pasta. Unfortunately my soup was not available so I sub it out with a house salad. It was pretty delicious they offered fresh cracked pepper. The chicken was a little dry, but over the dish was good. The raviolis were delicious and I ate the entire dish. My daughter enjoyed her pasta and ate her entire bowl. They have an excellent wine selection - we didn't order any, but I did peep at the menu. The ambiance is overall quiet and romantic. We enjoyed our dinner.

Sooooo good! We read that this place had really good italian and are so glad we went. Even though they are only open for dinner beginning at 5 PM, you cam easily call the morning of and get a same day reservation. Everything was amazing- food, service, ease if getting in, and the fact that the joint was busy and kept getting busier is always a good sign. We had apps, salads, entrees and a dessert. Our server Greg was delightful, and the entire staff was very on point and attentitive. When in Tahoe this is definitely worth it if you want authentic italian. Hot tip- Portions are big enough to share on the entrees and desserts!

The server Rafael was very nice and attentive, he gave us complementary bread with vinegar and olive oil. He always comes and check on me and asking me how is the food. Ps. The first time I came here with a different serve we did not have complementary bread. The bread was freshly baked and still warm when it was brought to us. I ordered the roasted muscles as a starter, and it very delicious, absolutely a must have! The salmon cooked perfectly well, the salad was OK, but will definitely try a different solid next time with the salmon. The tiramisu was the winner of the menu item, it is so yummy, I would eat another one if I wasn't so full. The tiramisu was definitely my favorite. The wine was delicious pair well with my salmon. Definitely one of the best restaurant to eat while visiting in Lake Tahoe!

Great Birthday dinner experience last weekend. My daughter wanted good pasta for her special day, and she walked away very pleased. Our party of 5 stopped in around 5:30, and it wasn't busy then but filled up as we were leaving. Service was great, they were on top of everything. We ended up with 5 different dishes, everyone left happy and full (exception: my dad wasn't crazy about his veal). Portions were good, especially the lasagna and chicken parm. Probably the single most popular item at our table was the focaccia bread, yum! My daughter was able to choose a Birthday dessert...but just couldn't...so we ended up with the brownie and cheesecake, both great. We walked away with enough food to enjoy the next night for dinner leftovers. Overall it was a fun and tasty meal, and most importantly left the Birthday girl full and smiling!
